I managed a visit between 4pm and 4.45pm this afternoon with the hope of seeing the Bittern on the Millstream Lake. I stayed until the light had completely gone but no sign. 2+ Water Rail were squealing in the reedbed and at least one Cettis Warbler called loudly. A Sparrowhawk flew over my head and launched itself into a bush....not sure if it caught it's prey.
