Wednesday 31 October

A late afternoon visit 4.45 - 5.15. A Bittern showed well climbing up in the reeds at the end of the Millstream Lake. Also a Kingfisher and Cettis Warbler and several Redwing. A Brown Rat also seen close to where I was standing viewing the Bittern.

Well done on the bittern -I've never seen (or heard) one.

The Grove Ferry watchers seem to get theirs at 4.45am, not pm!

Well done Steve - I know what it's like waiting down at the edge of the Millstraem Lake, just waiting for something to appear, so glad it paid off. Here's to a few more turning up this winter.
