Monday 7th May

Out between 5.45 and 7.15 this morning. Breezy and cool.

Nothing too unusual this morning. 1 Cuckoo, 5 Reed Warbler, 2 Sedge Warbler - including one along the Millstream that sang without a breath for at least 5 minutes, competing with an adjacent Nightingale. 7 Nightingale in total, 1 Turtle Dove, 1 Garden Warbler and of course high numbers of Whitethroat.

3 Water Vole near the divers bridge and a fourth along the Millstream.
