Friday 4th May

A visit between 1pm and 2.15pm today. I spent most of my time in the east and west scrub looking for Green Hairstreak. The breeze however did not help and I saw only a couple of butterflies - a Small White and a Peacock. Lots of Azure and Common Blue Damsels plus one Hairy Dragonfly. Also 2 Slow Worm in the east scrub.

Birds of note were 1 Cuckoo, 3 Nightingale, 2 Cettis, 1 Sedge Warbler, 5 Whitethroat, 8 Swift, 5 Sand Martin, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler and 3 Willow Warbler.

COMMON BLUE DAMSELFLY
