Saturday July 8th

A brief visit between 06.15 and 07.00 this morning. Bright and fairly warm.

Very little of interest in a brief visit this morning. A Nightingale croaking and whistling in the open area, a family party of Long Tailed tits and a Sedge Warbler singing briefly were the only birds of note.

This Six Spot Burnet moth posed in the east scrub area. There were also a couple of Common Darter here as well as a Red Admiral and a Gatekeeper.

This really is a quiet time of the year.

Plant wise the Orchids are all pass their best. Also took this picture of a Thistle seed head.
