Sunday 1st February

I late PM visit today - 3.30 until about 5pm. It was around 0 degrees with a covering of snow.
Birds were thin on the ground. Best sighting was a single Bittern briefly at the end of the Millstream just before 5pm. Good numbers of Gadwall all over, a few Fieldlfare, 2 Green Woodpecker, a flock of c80 Goldfinch roosting at the end of Brooklands Lake and several Goldcrest were the best sightings.
