Saturday 16th August

A quick afternoon dash to New Hythe this afternoon. I decided to try Brooklands Lake for Small Red-Eyed Damselfly and was pleased to find at least 20 and probably many more. Also a few along the Mill Stream. A number of Common Blue, Red-Eyed, Azure, Brown Hawker and a single Emperor as well. Butterflies seen included 3 Comma, a Red Admiral and several Gatekeeper.

Steve ,
Well done . I was wondering what had happened to them . Three great pictures , they look very fresh .
Shame the Common Blue got in on the act on the last one , still a great shot .
