Monday 20th August

A visit today between 6.30 and 8.30 am. Very quiet again on a damp and overcast morning.

3+ Sand Martin around Tesco Lake, 2 Sparrowhawk, 4 Cettis Warbler were highlights. Lots of young birds were around the east scrub with a mixed flock of Willow Warbler, Whitethroat and Lesser Whitethroat. 2 Green and Great Spotted Woodpecker and a single Bullfinch were also seen.

A single Water Vole was by the divers bridge and a lone Slow Worm in the east scrub.
