Sunday 15th April

I wasn't able to get out first thing this morning but I did have a mid-afternoon trot around between 3.45 and 5.15. As the weather was so fantastic the area was packed.

I did manage 6 butterfly species - 8 Orange Tip, 6 Peacock, 5 Speckled Wood, 4 Comma, 3 Small White and 1 Brimstone. Still no Green Viened White or Green Hairstreak, or Holly Blue (although I have had Holly Blue elsewhere)

4 Slow Worm (3 Males and a Female) in the East Scrub area. Not a good time of day for birds but I did have 4 Willow Warbler, 4 Blackcap, 2 Green Woodpecker and a host of Chiffies.
