Sunday April 8th

A visit between 06.15 and 07.45 this morning. It was -1 when I left home. I was expected a few more migrants this morning but they failed to turn up. Only a single Willow Warbler in the West Scrub area. Again plenty of Blackcap, Chiffchaff in song and a cracking male Bullfinch at the north end of Abbey Mead, but little else. A Water Vole showed well swimming across the ditch near the end of Millstream Lake.

Around home today a Brimstone and a Small White.
