Saturday 12th July

I may get out to New Hythe tomorrow but at the moment I am needed at home with the new baby and our other 3 cherubs....I did manage to drag them around Ryarsh Wood this afternoon for about half an hour. I was hoping for a White Admiral or maybe even a Silver-Washed Fritillary...no such luck. I did see 3 pristine Comma, 20+ Ringlet (mainly fairly worn) 4 Speckled Wood and 2 Large White......

Hi Steve....beautiful comma, and lovely photograph. Feel quite sorry for the ringlet, he does indeed look worn.....

I have had few butterflies in the garden....mainly whites, holly blue, meadow brown and the odd skipper....

Hope baby and family are well.....
