Tuesday 8th April

Out between 6.30 and 8.30 this morning. Still more Willow Warbler in with 16 heard/seen in the area. Also a Green Sandpiper on the scrape, 14 Blackcap, 12 Cettis, 13 Chiffchaff and a single Swallow.

REED BUNTING

Best sighting was my 81st species for the year on my patch, a lone Whitethroat near the scrape. Other birds of note were 4 Green Woodpecker, one drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Bullfinch and two Reed Bunting. One Water Vole showed well.

Nice shots there steve. The only reed bunting i've had this year was a single on the 1 Jan!
