Saturday 29th March

A visit between 6am and 7.45 this morning, a lovely bright sunny start to a day which promises to get progressively worse weather wise.

14 Chiffchaff singing on my walk this morning as well as 5 Blackcap, 2 along the Medway and 3 along the Millstream path. A Great Black Backed Gull (78 for the year) over was my first for the year here, also 6 Cettis, including this confiding bird near the fisherman's building by Brooklands Lake. 2 Green Woodpecker, 6 Redwing, 1 calling Treecreeper, 1 Great spotted Woodpecker and a Sparrowhawk completed the sighings.

Nice cettis shot steve, bet your pleased with that. They don't often reveal themselves, let alone pose for pictures!
