Apologies for the late update for the late update for this weekend....

I visited between 3.45 and 5.45 on Saturday. I was hoping to find a Med Gull as several had been seen during the week. I started at Brooklands but no sign. I did however see a Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 20+ Lapwing, 10 or so Teal on the river. 3 Snipe also appeared on the river as the tide fell. A new one for the year.

I drove around to Alders Lake as the light was going. A Little Egret has been roosting here but no sign. I decided to wait on and see if the Bittern showed. It did around 5.40, giving some nice views in front of the reeds at the end of the Millstream/Streamside pit. Also good views of a Water Rail here.
