Thursday May 29th

I had an hour to spare this afternoon and after the good weather this morning thought I would get a chance to take some photos around New Hythe...no chance, it was bucketting down again. I did hear 2 Nightingale, 3 Whitethroat, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap and 2 Willow Warbler and around 20 Swift and 3 sand Martin were forced down low by the weather.

6 Slow Worm, 2 Common Lizard and 1 Grass Snake were found sheltering from the rain in the east scrub. I also saw c6 Common Spotted Orchid and some nice Ragged Robin.

Real shame Steve. Looks as though the weekend might be better. Might come down to New Hythe tomorrow.
