Sunday 10th February

Just a brief visit this afternoon between 4 and 5.15. Only sightings of note were a Water Rail that flew across Brooklands Lake and a few Redwing. I was planning on staying and hoping to see the roosting Bittern but there was someone fishing close to the reedbed and about 20 cars parked close by with continued slamming of car doors and shouting and screaming.....no chance of the Bittern turning up with that racket....
