Saturday 11th August

A visit between 6am and 7.30am this morning. Very quiet. 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Green Woodpecker, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Cettis Warbler were the bird highlights.

No reptiles found in the east scrub area but I did find a Common Shrew which gave me good if brief views. The only other record of note was my first patch Painted Lady of the year which I flushed off the path along the Millstream.

Back at home I found a Large Yellow Underwing in my shed.
