Tuesday April 3rd
A quick half an hour before work this morning, 06.50 - 07.20. Cold but still. This north-easterly is really holding migration back.
A Water Vole on the Millstream quickly dived as I passed. I crossed the East scrub area, just one Cettis calling here. I then doubled back around the West scrub which only held a Mistle Thrush. I then walked down towards Brook House hoping for a Nightingale but no sign. All very quiet.
Back towards the car 2 Blackcap were singing and there was a burst from another Cettis. 6 Sand Martin shot over as I crossed the Millstream bridge.
