Sunday 17th December

A visit between 2.30 and 3.30pm. Bright and clear.

I heard that 7 Bearded Tits had been seen in the sunken marsh area. Just where I thought I heard one a week or two ago. I spent a good three quarters of an hour there. I am pretty sure I had one close to the Medway. I had good views of a Sparrowhawk here as well flying low across the marsh and then soaring. There was a Sandpiper sp. on the Medway but I was too distant to tell whether it was Common or Green.

A Chiffchaff called near the tunnel entrance to Brooklands Lake.

I then checked the usual Bittern spot on the Millstream Lake. 2 were seen here last night but no sign this evening.
