Sunday 12th June
A visit to local woods a few miles away between 20.45 and 22.30pm.
A Common Buzzard was seen briefly - a first for me here, a Yellowhammer singing and 1+ Nightjar churring briefly and calling. Difficult to say if it was more than one bird - shame as this has always been a good area for Nightjar but the habitat is changing and the coppiced areas are becoming much more over grown. Also c4 Woodcock roding and calling.
